Description
Westaff is seeking an Electromechanical Engineering Technician for our client in Manchester!
Summary: Responsible for the inspection, diagnosis of, and maintenance electromechanical systems and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inspect, install and maintain product systems and equipment and adjust electrical prototypes, parts and assemblies to correct problems.
• Conduct research, collect data, diagnose and calibrate systems
• Assist in development of testing of new systems and equipment for customers.
• Assemble systems and prototypes
• Collaborate with Engineering by inspecting designs for quality control, report findings, and provide recommendations
• Adjust and replace broken electronic components and circuitry
• Draw diagrams with specifications to clarify the design details of electronic units
• Support logic and custom integrated circuitry
• Developing, verifying, and testing hardware and support peripherals to ensure they meet specifications and requirements
• Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet particular needs
• Assemble components using soldering tools
• Notify Engineering and Management of product discrepancies or malfunctions
• Meet production timelines and deadlines as required.
Skills Required:
• knowledge of electromechanical techniques

• wiring and cable harness assembly skills
• ability to solder
• understanding of mechanical issues related to hardware design
• excellent communication skills
• basic knowledge of software engineering
