Paynesville area, We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Shop Helper to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning on manufacturing equipment. If you would like to hone-in your mechanical skills, are flexible to trying new things, and eager to learn welding and fabrication of parts, this opportunity is for you!

Pay DOE, $18-$20/hour.  Hours flexible, from 32-40 hours per week, or part-time for the right fit!

Hours Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm

Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical and mechanical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina in working independently with quality and safety always in mind!

Responsibilities

• Perform minor fixes such as repairing, fabricating and machining parts
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as maintaining shop area
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems 
• Collaborate with workers and management about prioritizing workload 

Requirements and skills

• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Brake press, fabrication, machine operation and welding preferred
• Ability to read technical manuals and blueprint drawings
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity, ability to meet physical demands of job
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system to distribute payroll
• Audit management of hourly rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
• Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as payroll specialist or similar HR/payroll processing systems 
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll process best practices 
  
• Proficient in MS Office and relevant software (e.g. Kronos, ADP, QuickBooks) and various databases
• Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality and excellent communication skills
• Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field preferred
