Vista, California Resident Honored for Outstanding Work
During National Staffing Employee Week
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, September 22, 2005 -- Westaff, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTF) announced today that Rosendo Martinez of Vista, California, is the 2005-06 Westaff's Best Pacific Coast Region Temporary Associate -- one of seven regional winners from around the country. Westaff's Best is an annual awards program sponsored by one of the country's top staffing and employment companies to honor the outstanding work of its temporary workforce.

Martinez stood out as a shipping and receiving clerk at Glacier Water in Vista, CA, because of his strong work ethic and reliability, said Rick Sossamon, Production Manager at Glacier Water.
"He'll do anything you need him to and he'll be whistling while he does it. He is a fine example of someone who understands when something is urgent," said Sossaman, who nominated him. "His attitude makes him a pleasure to work with."
Martinez will be rewarded with an American Express Gift Check, a Certificate of Recognition from Westaff and other gifts.
"Westaff has always been very helpful to me," Martinez said. "And I like my work. Everyone is nice and the supervisor is great. This award makes me very, very happy."
Paula Verdu, Branch Manager for Westaff-Carlsbad, agreed that Martinez deserves the award for his ability to achieve and excel.

The awards program, now in its eighth year, coincides with National Staffing Employee Week. The week, September 19-25, is the American Staffing Association's (ASA) nationwide celebration of the country's 2.5 million temporary employees.
