Hometown Girl Makes Good

Westaff, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTF), the Essential Support Services Leader, announces the opening of a new office in St. Augustine, Fla., located at 3149 North Ponce De Leon, Suite 2. The office will provide clerical and light industrial temporary staffing services and employment opportunities to the St. Augustine community.

Affiliate Owner Jeanette James will be overseeing the new Westaff office and its staff. James, who was born and raised in St. Augustine, was a Branch Manager for four years at a former Westaff office in St. Augustine.

"My previous experience working with Westaff prompted me to open my own office here in St. Augustine," James said.

One year ago, James founded Crystal Stairs, a non-profit organization that assists women in need of job training. The organization's training program enables women to increase their job skills and earning power. A majority of women who go through the Crystal Stairs program eventually find a job through Westaff.

"Some of these women are abused and come from shelters or churches, and they actually come to Crystal Stairs and learn legal skills or how to use computers," James said. "Once they've improved their job skills, we give them a certificate, and they then find job placement through Westaff. It's a great duo. Crystal Stairs gives them the training, and Westaff finds them a job."
