WESTAFF APPOINTS CHRISTA LEONARD AS VICE PRESIDENT AND TREASURER

WALNUT CREEK, CA, November 16, 2000
Westaff, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTF), a leading provider of essential staffing services, today announced the appointment of Christa C. Leonard as Vice President and Treasurer.

Leonard, a CPA with over 13 years of treasury and tax experience, was formerly Vice President, Treasury and Tax at USI Insurance Services Corp, a $370 million insurance broker. At Westaff, she will be responsible for the treasury and banking functions plus the tax department. Leonard replaces Michael Ehresman who resigned in September to accept another position.
